Google released Gemini 4 Argon globally for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search, plus paid API users. Google positions Argon for hard multi-step work across documents, legal-style reading and coding, with a 1M-token window. Free and Plus plans do not get Argon.
Why it matters for agents
If you pay for Gemini Pro or Ultra, switch to Argon for long CMA packs, contract reads and multi-file client briefs. Free users stay on lighter models.
